Scorpion Solitaire

Play Scorpion Solitaire
Seven columns of seven face-up cards are dealt from one deck (49 cards) and the last 3 cards wait face down in the reserve: sizes 7/7/7/7/7/7/7 plus 3 in reserve. Tap a card to place it, or drag it: a column accepts the card one rank below it in the same suit (a spade 7 goes on a spade 8, never on a heart 8), and only a King may go on an empty column. Any face-up card may be lifted with everything above it, even if the lifted block is not in sequence — that is the rule that separates Scorpion from Spider. Tap the reserve to deal its 3 cards face up, one onto each of the first three columns; there is no redeal. A complete K-to-A same-suit run of 13 is collected automatically into a completed slot; there are no Ace-to-King foundations. Undo walks your moves back one at a time and Hint highlights a legal move. A deal that runs out of moves shows a No moves left bar; undo or deal a new board.

Objective: Collect four complete King-to-Ace same-suit runs. Columns build down by rank in the same suit, any face-up card may be lifted together with everything on top of it even when the lifted block is not in sequence, and only a King may go on an empty column. A 3-card reserve is dealt once onto the first three columns. Win by collecting all four runs. Controls: Tap or click a card to place it on its best legal target, or drag it onto a specific column. Tap the reserve pile (top-left) to deal its 3 cards. Buttons: Undo, Hint, Rules, New. Add ?deal=12345 to the page URL to play and share a fixed deal; the deal number is shown under the title. Works with mouse and touch.

Source and license
Rules module written by Playnesta (MIT) on top of the unmodified engine from the MIT-licensed solitaire-collection by muzsor (commit 13ce580c). That pin ships klondike, spider, freecell, pyramid and tripeaks but no Scorpion, so the six shared core files (engine, renderer, card model, RNG, sound, stylesheet) ship byte-identical to the pinned commit and js/games/scorpion.js is Playnesta-original, following the same Game contract as the upstream klondike module. The page shell, responsive stage fit, analytics bridge and touch shim are Playnesta-original. Cards are DOM elements and sounds are WebAudio synthesis, so no bitmap, audio or font asset is shipped. https://github.com/muzsor/solitaire-collection · MIT
🧪 Play data measured on this site: 3,000 deals
Every play-data number on this guide was measured on this site, not quoted: a deliberately weak greedy baseline played 3,000 random deals against the rules module this site ships, in headless Node. The full method, guardrails and distributions live in the guide's Method section; raw output: outputs/planner-20261010-0430/scorpion_bench_3000.txt
