Phrazle
Play Phrazle online, Playnesta's phrase deduction game where the hidden phrase is shown as one continuous run of letters with no word gaps. You have to deduce both the letters and where the words split, in six tries. Green marks a letter in the right slot, yellow a letter that belongs elsewhere in the phrase, and gray a letter whose copies are all used up. Free in your browser, no download.

The hidden phrase is a short expression in common English — 2 or 3 words, 7 to 13 letters in total — but unlike Phrase Guess the board does not show the gaps between words: every letter runs together, so you have to work out both the letters and the split. Type letters with the on-screen keyboard or your own keyboard and press Enter to score the row. Scoring is the two-pass rule applied to the letters: a green tile is a letter in the right slot; a yellow tile is a letter that belongs somewhere else in the phrase; a gray tile means every copy of that letter is used up, so it is a complete elimination. Letters may repeat, and yellow is spent one copy at a time. You get six rows. Solve the phrase and the tiles turn green and dance; run out of rows and the phrase is revealed with its gaps. The opening phrase is the daily one, the same for everyone until local midnight; the New phrase button deals a random phrase, and a phrase can be pinned with a ?code=GOODMORNING link.

Objective: Guess the hidden phrase in six tries, but the phrase is shown as a single continuous run of letters with no word gaps, so you must deduce both the letters and where the words split. Green means the right letter in the right slot, yellow means the letter is in the phrase but sits in another slot, and gray means every copy of that letter in the phrase is already accounted for. Controls: Tap or click the on-screen letter keyboard, or type on a physical keyboard; press Enter to submit the row and Backspace/Delete to rub out a letter. Buttons: New phrase (reloads with a random phrase) and Rules.
