Play Letter Braid online, Playnesta's daily waffle-style word grid: a scrambled 5x5 board where all five rows and all five columns have to end up spelling five-letter words, and you get 15 swaps to do it. Green, yellow and gray tiles show what belongs where — a fresh grid every day, free in your browser, no download.
Play Letter Braid
Tap one tile to pick it up, then tap another tile to swap the two letters — that costs one of your 15 swaps. Green means the letter is already in its solved spot, yellow means it belongs to that cell's row or column but sits somewhere else, and gray means it belongs to neither. Every daily board is solvable within 12 swaps. Restore all ten lines before the swaps run out; if you run out first, the finished grid is revealed.

Objective: Restore the scrambled 5x5 grid so that all five rows and all five columns spell valid five-letter words, using at most 15 letter swaps. Controls: Tap or click a tile to pick it up, then tap another to swap. On a keyboard, arrow keys move between tiles, Enter or Space picks and swaps, and Escape clears the pick. Tap the replay bar for a fresh attempt at the same grid.
