Number Guess
Play Number Guess online, Playnesta's daily five-digit deduction game. Crack the secret code in six tries: green marks a digit in the right slot, yellow a digit that is in the code but in the wrong slot, and gray a digit whose copies are all used up. Digits may repeat, so every guess is real information — free in your browser, no download.

The secret is a five-digit code; each digit is 0-9 and digits may repeat, so there are 100,000 possible codes and the same digit can appear more than once. Type five digits into the current row and press Enter to score them. The feedback is the two-pass rule: a green tile is a digit in the right slot; a yellow tile is a digit that belongs somewhere else in the code; a gray tile means that digit is used up — if the code holds two 4s and you guessed three of them, two tiles can be green or yellow and the third is gray. Because digits repeat, a gray tile is stronger information than it looks: it rules the digit out completely for the rest of the round. You get six rows, one digit per tile, and you may guess the same digit twice in a row to find out whether the code itself repeats it. Crack the code and the tiles turn green and dance; run out of rows and the code is revealed. The opening code is the daily code, the same for every player until local midnight; the New code button at the bottom deals a random code for another round, and a code can be pinned with a ?code=12345 link.

Objective: Crack the secret five-digit code in six guesses. Green means the right digit in the right slot, yellow means the digit is in the code but sits in another slot, and gray means every copy of that digit in the code is already accounted for. Controls: Tap or click the on-screen keypad (0-9), or type digits on a physical keyboard; press Enter to submit the row and Backspace/Delete to rub out a digit. Buttons: the on-screen Enter and backspace keys, and New code at the bottom (reloads with a random code).
