Play Golf Solitaire
One 52-card deck is dealt face up into 35 tableau cards (7 columns of 5), one more card starts the foundation (the waste pile) and the remaining 16 cards form the stock. Only the bottom card of each column — the one nearest you — can be moved, and moving it exposes the card above it. A card may be played when its rank is one higher or one lower than the foundation top, e.g. a 6 or an 8 on a 7; suits never matter. In this build the ranks also wrap around, so Ace counts as both the lowest and the highest rank: a King and an Ace are neighbours, and — unlike the strict Hoyle form — an Ace may be played on a King (the common "turning the corner" variant). A card that does not match shakes and stays put. When nothing on the tableau matches, turn the next stock card onto the foundation; the stock is a single 16-card pass with no redeal. Clearing all 52 cards wins the deal, and a fresh deal is dealt automatically. The deal ends when the stock is empty and no tableau card matches: the board dims, and the next tap re-deals the same layout. Scoring is golf scoring — one point for every card left on the tableau, so a perfect deal is 0 and clearing the board early scores less than 0 (one point off for each stock card never turned).

Controls: Click or tap an exposed card (the bottom card of a column) that is one rank above or one below the foundation top; it moves straight to the foundation with no selection step. Click or tap the last face-down stock card to turn it over. Buttons: Rules and New deal (New deal reloads the page with a fresh shuffle).

Based on golf by Alexander Berson (MIT). Playnesta ships the game logic, deck data, stylesheet, suit SVG art and fonts byte-identical to the pinned upstream commit, and replaces the standalone page head with the Playnesta wrapper (index.html) plus the analytics bridge, the two-button shell, the touch shim, a responsive refit and a self-unregistering service-worker stub; the upstream app-store, PWA and screenshot assets are not shipped. https://github.com/alex-berson/golf · MIT
