TL;DR — pick one line and commit
- First playthrough, always on: Green Turtle (stamina recovery) + Erdtree's Favor (HP/stamina/load) — wiki's cheapest always-correct pair.
- Under-leveled and honest about it: Radagon's Scarseal (+3 Vigor/Endurance/Strength/Dexterity) — free levels now, 10% more damage taken later.
- Skill-spam builds: Shard of Alexander (+15% skill damage) — finish the jar warrior's questline, keep it forever.
- Charged attacks and mages: Godfrey Icon (+15% charged spells/skills) — Godefroy's evergaol drop, pairs with Moonveil and colossals.
- Heavy armor without fat-rolling: Great-Jar's Arsenal (+19% equip load) — three Dragonbarrow duels, then wear what you like.

You start with one slot and the wiki confirms exactly three pouches: Margit in Stormhill (or Morgott in Leyndell if you missed him), Finger Reader Enia after two Great Runes (Twin Maiden Husks sell it if you missed her), and Godfrey's Golden Shade in Leyndell. Four slots is the ceiling — plan a four-trinket loadout, not a collection. It pairs with our builds guide's one-main-stat rule: one stat, one weapon, four trinkets that serve both.
1. Green Turtle and Erdtree's Favor never leave the loadout
Green Turtle raises stamina recovery by 8 per second from an underground pocket at Summonwater Village — reachable in the first hour. Erdtree's Favor adds HP, stamina and equip load at once from Fringefolk Hero's Grave, also in Limgrave. Two trinkets, both early, both useful on every archetype in our builds guide. Equip these before theorycrafting anything else.
2. Radagon's seals are borrowed levels with interest
The Scarseal adds 3 each to Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity for killing the Weeping Evergaol boss; the Soreseal adds 5 each from a Fort Faroth corpse in Caelid but raises damage taken to 15% (10% on the Scarseal). Take the free stats while bosses still one-shot you anyway, then retire the seal around the capital when the extra damage taken starts costing flasks. Borrowed levels, not permanent ones.
3. Shard of Alexander is the skill-build tax
Plus 15% skill damage for completing Iron Fist Alexander's questline — the wiki counts 81 builds using it, more than any other talisman, including our builds guide's Bloodhound frame. If your build has a favorite weapon skill (Bloodhound's Finesse, Transient Moonlight, Corpse Piler), this trinket is non-negotiable. Do the jar's questline on every character that leans on a skill.
4. Godfrey Icon rewards the patient swing
Plus 15% to charged spells and skills from Godefroy in the Golden Lineage Evergaol. Chargers only: if you never hold the button, it does nothing. Moonveil heavies, colossal charged R2s, charged sorceries — commit to the hold or pick another trinket. It pairs with our weapons guide's Greatsword find: big sword, held swing, Icon multiplying it.
5. Great-Jar's Arsenal buys fashion and poise
Plus 19% equip load for winning three NPC duels in Dragonbarrow (reached via the Siofra Deep River Well). Equip load is the stat that lets medium roll survive heavier armor — and heavier armor is poise, and poise is finishing your swing. Win the duels once, wear what you like for the rest of the game.

FAQ
How many talisman slots can I get?
Four total: one by default plus three Talisman Pouches — Margit or Morgott, Enia after two Great Runes, Godfrey's Golden Shade. There is no fifth pouch in the base game or the DLC.
Should beginners use Radagon's Soreseal?
Yes early, no later. The free stats outweigh the extra damage taken while everything kills you in two hits anyway; past the capital the 15% penalty starts costing flasks, so swap it for a Dragoncrest or Erdtree's Favor.
Do I need the DLC for these seven?
No. The seven above are base-game talismans. DLC-tagged wiki entries (Two-Headed Turtle, +3 Amber tiers) need Shadow of the Erdtree and sit outside this guide.
Can I wear two copies of one talisman?
No — base, +1 and +2 tiers share one slot family, so the loadout game is picking four different effects, not stacking one. The comparison table above is already built that way.
Where are the official facts?
Check Bandai Namco's official ELDEN RING page and the Steam store page first. We will refresh the frames when a patch moves the numbers.
Playnesta Verdict
Fill all four pouch slots, keep Green Turtle and Erdtree's Favor permanent, borrow Radagon's seal early and return it at the capital — then let Shard of Alexander or Godfrey Icon carry your main damage button. A loadout is four effects serving one stat, and the only wrong trinket is the fifth one you cannot equip.
